Île de Ré -Drone Trip-

Île de Ré is one of the larger islands on France's western (Atlantic) coastline.  It's located a bit northwest of the port of La Rochelle, in the Charente-Maritime Department. Oriented on a northwest-southeast axis, the island measures about 30 km (around 19 mi.) length-wise and is quite narrow - only about 5 km (3 mi.) at its widest point.  Since 1988, the island has been connected to the mainland via the Île de Ré bridge.  You can check out this little-known corner of France from above in this drone video by Giutt97ii.
