RoamwithJohn

The Komodo islands are a small group volcanic islands in the central-southern part of Indonesia,  They are home to the world’s largest living species of lizard, the Komodo dragon. Drone in Padar and Kanawa Islands, Indonesia

RoamwithJohn

In this video, contributor and drone pilot RoamwithJohn takes us over two islands just west of Flores Island in East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.  Padar is an island situated southeast of the somewhat larger (and better known) Komodo Island and due west from the "mainland" of Flores to the east.  The second island is Kanawa Island, one of a group of tiny islands to the northwest of Padar, more or less due east from Komodo Island.

Labuan Bajo, Flores, Indonesia - From Above

careynataliady

Contributor Careynataliady created this beautiful aerial video of the western parts of the Indonesian island Flores and the small islands to its west.  Most of the footage is from the area around Labuan Bajo, once a small village on the western end of Flores which has grown as a starting point for trips to the Komodo National park islands.  The video also has footage of one of the Komodo islands (Padar) plus Gili Lawa and Kanawa, two smaller nearby islands.
