Drone Views of Liverpool

Check out this fantastic 2021 drone reel from Liverpool, England by contributor Stratus Imagery.  At around the :10 mark, there's a great shot of a cruise ship docked at the modern cruise ship terminal along the city's historic waterfront, followed by a view of the Liverpool Cathedral on St. James Mount.  Other highlights include the Albert Dock (:27), Victoria Tower (:30), the Walker Art Gallery (:37), Radio City Tower (:55), Anfield Stadium (1:13), the Royal Liver Building (1:16), as well as some excellent first person view (FPV) shots.

Take in these amazing 4k drone views from Liverpool, England, compliments of AirVuz contributor Csaba Jonas.  Situated near the mouth of the River Mersey, Liverpool became the center of England's industrial revolution and for a time in the late 19th century was one of the richest cities in the world.  The video features excellent daytime and nighttime aerial footage of the Liverpool waterfront including its "Three Graces": the Royal Liver Building, Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building.

Check out this rather shocking drone video of the city of Liverpool, England under a virtual lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic in early April, 2020.  Shot by top AirVuz contributor and pilot Stratus Imagery, the video captures the great port city during a national shelter-in-place order.  Known in modern times as the home of the Beatles, in the 19th century Liverpool was the port which powered the Industrial Revolution; at its peak, Liverpool was the wealthiest city in the world.  

Loccated near the mouth of the Mersey River, Liverpool, England has a storied maritime history: it was once the world's busiest seaport.  It was also the most important eastern terminus for the Trans-Atlantic passenger lines in the days before jet travel.  While much of this port infrastructure moved away from the historic waterfront to more modern facilities upriver, since 2007 the city has been home to a cruise ship terminal.  You can see the terminal and some of its visitors in this excellent drone reel by Stratus Imagery.  

Liverpool, England was the home of arguably the world's most important seaport during the Industrial Revolution.  While the port's days of importing cotton from the Southern USA for the mills of nearby Manchester may be over, it remains one of the UK's busiest ports.  In 2007, the port added a cruise ship terminal, which is expected to handle its one millionth international passenger by the end of 2022.  Top AirVuz contributor Stratus Imagery brings us this excellent drone video of the cruise terminal as it celebrates its 15th anniversary.

Take an aerial tour of Liverpool, England in this fantastic drone video by Csaba Jonas.  Shot with a DJI Mavic Pro 2, the video opens with some epic shots of the (Anglican) Liverpool Cathedral, which sits atop St James's Mount and dates to the early 20th century.  Then you'll head northeast to see the (Catholic) Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral, which was completed in the 1960's.  From there, you'll head north to see the giant Anfield Stadium.  Starting at the 2:15 mark, you'll see the historic Liverpool waterfront.    

Check out this rather stunning drone pull-out shot from the docks of Liverpool, England, compiments of Faganseesthings.  The stars of the shot are three buildings which dominate the waterfront of the city, once one of the world's wealthiest ports.  Left to right, they are the Royal Liver Building, the Cunard Building, and the Port of Liverpool Building.  All three date to the early 20th century, and are part of what is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.  The buildings are sometimes called Liverpool's Three Graces.  

Top contributor hamza_mujtaba created this beautiful aerial video of a well known park in Liverpool, England.  Sefton Park is located in an eponymously named neighborhood in the southern part of the city.  The park was created by picking a design that was awarded via a competition, opening in 1872. It's a listed site on the English Historical Register.  The great port city of Liverpool is the center of the fifth largest metropolitan area in the UK, after London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Leeds.  

Marco Don created this drone video of Liverpool, the great port city in Northern England.  Located in the Mersey River estuary a bit to the southwest of Manchester, Liverpool played a key role in Britain's (and the world's) Industrial Revolution as the primary port by which cotton from the United States reached England's textile mills.  At the zenith of its arc, Liverpool was one of the wealthiest cities in the world.  More recently, Liverpool gave birth to a pop music sensation known as the Beatles.   

Check out this fantastic drone video of the Fleet Flagship of the Royal Navy, compliments of top AirVuz contributor Stratus Imagery.  With full authorization from the relevant authorities, he was able to aerially film the HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier arriving in the harbor of Liverpool, England.  Named after the first (Tudor) Queen Elizabeth, the ship can carry up to 60 aircraft.  In service only since 2020, the Queen Elizabeth is 920 ft. long (280 m), displaces about 65k tons, and cruises at a top speed of 32 knots. 

Check out this excellent drone video of a brand-new cruise ship docked in the port of Liverpool, UK by AirVuz contributor and pilot Chris.  He filmed the Valiant Lady, the second ship launched by Virgin Voyages.  Launched in 2020, the ship's entry into regular service was delayed by the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic.  The Italian-built vessel is 912 ft. long (278 m) and 125 ft. wide (38 m) at the beam.  Displacing 110k gross tons, the ship can carry up to just under 2.8k passengers in addition to a crew of 1.16k.
