Annual Reels: Best of 2025

Top AirVuz contributor MICHAEL GISSELERE won the DVOW contest with this fantastic 2025 highlight reel.  One of the top commercial drone pilots in France, his reel includes shots from some of his high-profile assignments in that country, as well as from other spots like Hawaii.  The reel includes a stunning mix of landscape, urban, and "action" type shots, including some fantastic first person view (FPV) sequences.   Highlights include iconic French villages, FPV waterfall dives, stunning mountain vistas in the Alps, and more. 

Top German aerial filming company HighVision earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this fantastic 2025 drone showreel.  The video opens with a nice nighttime shot of Frankfurt, Germany's financial capital.  At the :08 mark, there's a beautiful view of a lodge somewhere in the Alps, followed by a series of spectacular first person view (FPV) shots.  At :33, you'll see a shot of a cooling tower being imploded, and at 1:15 you'll fly through a fireworks display.  Other highlights include factory fly-through's, music concerts, and more.  

Award-winning contributor Postandfly is one of the top drone pilots in Mexico, and when you see this incredible 2025 demo reel you'll see why.  The video opens with shots (including a CGI-enhanced sequence) of Mexico City, the largest urban concentration in the Western Hemisphere.  At the :41 mark, you'll see the giant Ferris wheel of the Aztlán Parque Urbano in Chapultepec, one of Mexico City's massive parks.  At :50, you'll see some scenes from a Mexican desert.  Other highlights include dramatic shots from Mexico's coastline.  

Top AirVuz contributor Drone Mood won the Drone Video of the Week contest with this fantastic 2025 drone highlight reel.  The reel was filmed with the DJI Mavic Pro 4, considered (as of 2026) the best aerial photography platform in its size class.  At the :12 mark, there's a great nighttime shot of a hilltop music festival, followed by a stunning sunrise shot over a mountain ridge.  At :37, you'll see some alpin wind turbines, with a large dam in the background, and at :47 you'll see a glacier emptying into an alpine lake.  

French FPV drone pilot leo_pernin was picked as a DVOW Finalist and also made the FPV Pilots to Watch list with this fantastic 2025 FPV showreel.  The reel features an impressive mix of landscape, action, and indoor "cinewhoop" style shots.  At around the :15 mark, you'll chase a skier barreling down a mountain slope, followed by a shot "intercepting" some hikers along a mountain ridge.  Other highlights include an incredible sequence flying through an ice cave (:25), a dive towards an alpine lake (:50), a waterfall dive (1:04), and more. 

Top AirVuz contributor CG Films earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot in February, 2026 for this fantastic 2025 highlight reel.  The reel features an impressive mix of urban and landscape shots from across his native Italy, including some stunning first person view (FPV) drone sequences.  You'll skim along mountain ridges, soar over iconic hilltop villages, explore some of Italy's beautifiul lakes, and explore other spots throughout this beautiful country.  The video also includes some impressive dronelapse shots.  

Top AirVuz contributor Oz Straya Panoramas earned a DVOW Finalist spot with this excellent 2025 reel from Australia.  At the :39 mark, you;ll see the pier of Frankston, on Port Phillip Bay, a bit south of Melbourne.  From there you'll head to McRaes Beach Lighthouse, a bit further south.  At 1:05, you'll see Kurilpa Bridge in Brisbane, and at 1:34 you'll see the area around Gold Coast, just south of Brisbane.  Other featured locations include Cabarita Beach in New South Wales (1:47), Brisbane's Kangaroo Point Bridge (2:15), and more.  

Former Drone Video of the Week Winner mitevisuals brings us this excellent 2025 drone travel reel.  In addition to his home country of the Netherlands, the video features footage from the Indonesian island of Lombok; the Italian island of Sicily; Germany; Norway; the Faroe Islands archipelago (a territory of Denmark); Switzerland; and the sub-Saharan African countries of Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, and Tanzania.  HIghlights include ancient ruins, massive fjords, gushing waterfalls, iconic windmills, and more.   

Top AirVuz contributor Daniel Chong earned a DVOW Finalist spot for this fantastic 2025 drone reel, which features shots from around the world.  The video opens with a shot from the Portuguese island of Maderia, followed by a that of a giant waterfall in Iceland.  From there, you'll head into the Alps, both in Switzerland and the Dolomite subchain in northeastern Italy.  Other highlights include a geothermal "hot spot" in Iceland (at the :30 mark), Madeira's Fanal Forest (1:01), Iceland's Skogafoss waterfall (1:22), and more.  

Top AirVuz contributor and German first person view (FPV) pilot HighVision earned a Drone Video of the Week Finalist spot for this fantastic 2025 FPV reel.  The video opens with a shot descending through a cloud in the mountains, followed by a car tracking shot and chase sequences involving a train and then a group of bikers.  Next up are some cinewhoop style indoor shots, followed by a highly cinematic sequence skimming over a farmer's field.  Further on, you'll dive a skyscraper, buzz around a music act, and chase race cars and skiers.
