FPV Pilots to Watch - February 28, 2020

Every week brings a new wave of fantastic FPV videos to AirVuz, and we have the fun job of watching it all to share the best of the best with our enthusiastic AirVuz community.  We pick a short list of FPV pilots to feature each week, and pack them into this cool reel because those we select are no doubt committed, talented, and they share their wares here on AirVuz (this is where the best FPV footy lives, after all).  So be a sport and *show your support* with a Like, Comment, and a Follow.

This stylized edit was a result of FPV drone pilot HarsiFPV partnering with professional videographer William Flandrin. Watch as footage from both a racing quad and Mavic Pro are woven together to provide incredible views of the Ballons des Vosges Nature Park in northeastern France. The drones also got a little of the limelight too as their sporty frames are captured in several shots. The entire edit reflects HarsiFPV's enthusiasm for making great videos, and that was a perfect reason to add him to our FPV Pilots to Watch list in February 2020!

The very versatile ShaggyFPV seems to do it all...from professional racing with the Drone Racing League to putting his skills to the test with fellow pilots Jedey_FPV and ThomasFPV as part of the Dutch Drone Gods. Check out this incredible reel showcasing their exciting commercial work, and it certainly makes the case for FPV playing an increasingly spectacular role in commercial cinematography in the future. Case closed...this pilot's got a lockdown on the FPV Pilots to Watch list in February 2020. 

FlyLifeCo pilot Martin Novak most definitely has the pulse of the entire FPV community.  Not only has he long been a skilled pilot on the freestyling scene, he's also helping to gel the community with his popular 'FlyLife' podcast, where he interviews big names in the sport.  He definitely talks the talk, and - as we can see in this fantastic skyscraper diving video - he also walks the walk, making a solid case for his return trip to our FPV Pilots to Watch in February 2020.

Could there be a more epic way to spend the day??  WestPsydeFPV knew exactly what he was doing when he packed up his high performance drone and headed towards Glamis Dunes and Huntington Beach to chase some sweet dune buggies. The sand bowls and mountains gave all the vertical relief necessary to make the rides exciting, and WestPsyde caught it all with his fast and nimble quad.   We all loved the video so much we just had to give him another spot on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in February 2020!

The Big Sur coastline in California is known for many things: the memorable drive along Highway 1, the spectacular waves of the Pacific Ocean crashing along the rugged coastline, and abundant hiking opportunities.  But for drone pilot nonexistentjay, this beautiful destination became the perfect FPV playground.  Watch as he dives the cliffs, skims the shore and gives us to-die-for views of the Bixby Bridge and Pigeon Point Lighthouse, making a clear case for his spot on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in February 2020.

The Italian Alps are breathtaking any time of year, but the wintry layer of snow and ice provide a defining edge that perfectly suits a long range FPV flight. Pilot L Morandini took advantage of the wide open playground and got his racing drone in the air to dance around those frozen water falls and rocky peaks, and the final edit is unreal. Be sure to take this full length video in on your own, and you'll see why this talented pilot, in February 2020, made his repeat appearance on our FPV Pilots to Watch list.  Bravo, L. Morandini!

It can sometimes be hard to tell who's having more fun when an FPV pilot like Biceps&Rouflaket chases down subjects like motocross champion Victor Levergne with his racing drone.  Watch the bike cruise around the dirt trail while the drone keeps pace, and then breaks off to make a few tricks of its own.  Of course, the treelined French countryside offers the best trails, and Biceps&Rouflaket knew just how to pull the whole scene together, and for that, we added him to our roster of FPV Pilots to Watch on AirVuz in February 2020.

The Ballons des Vosges Natural Regional Park was a popular spot for flying this week! In this fantastic edit, FPV pilot Ayzen FPV gave us a sweeping tour of this sprawling reserve, centered over the picturesque Lac Blanc, in northwestern France.   With even fresh snow and the setting sun, the whole setting worked well to show off his mad skills.  We liked everything we saw, so we had to add Ayzen FPV to our Pilots to Watch list in February 2020!  Bravo, Ayzen FPV!

The views of the incredibly scenic islet of Sveti Stefan in Montenegro have long been best seen from above, however, drones now make these views easier to appreciate more than ever.  FPV Pilot se_fpv flew over both the island resort and the surrounding mountains and beaches, as well as all the way to the beautiful setting of the St. Sava orthodox monastery, high above the shoreline.  His travel video impressed us all, and for that, we put se_fpv on our February 2020 Pilots to Watch List.

The region of Abruzzo in Southern Italy is often referred to as the most green in continental Europe, with approximately half of its land protected in national parks and reserves. It also served as a breathtaking backdrop for content creator Tonnoz, when he travelled the area with his performance FPV drone, capturing the quintessential Italian landscape and throwing in plenty of freestyle diving and cruising.  The beautiful footage gave us plenty of reason to place him on our FPV Pilots to Watch list in February 2020.
