7 Days Alone In The Balkan Peaks (Cinematic Journey)

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Top AirVuz contributor Liam Heights brings us this stunning travel video from the mountains of Southeastern Europe.  The video was created over the course of a seven day trip on the "Peaks of the Balkans" trek, which runs about 115 mi. (around 192 km) through Albania, Montenegro, and Kosovo.  The mountains here are the Prokletije (Accursed Mountains), which form the southernmost part of the Dinaric Alps chain which run along the western side of the Balkan Peninsula from Italy in the northwest to Albania in the southeast.

BADGES THIS VIDEO HAS EARNED:

oin me on a 7-day solo journey through the Peaks of the Balkans—one of the last untamed wildernesses in Europe. Experience raw wild camping, the jagged Accursed Mountains, and a cinematic trek across Albania, Montenegro, and Kosovo. In this cinematic travel documentary, I hiked the 192km "Peaks of the Balkans" (PoB) loop entirely solo. Carrying everything on my back, I explored the remote landscapes of the Prokletije range, from the famous Valbona to Theth pass in Albania to the hidden glacial lakes of Montenegro and the rugged borderlands of Kosovo. This isn't just a hiking vlog; it’s an immersive experience of solitude, mountain culture, and the sheer beauty of the Balkan Peninsula. If you're looking for an adventure off the beaten path, this trail is for you.
