On the southwestern coast of Galicia, where the Miño River reaches the Atlantic Ocean, lies A Guarda, a place shaped by history, mountains and the sea.

Our aerial journey begins at Monte Santa Trega, one of the most iconic viewpoints in Galicia. From its summit, the landscape opens up over A Guarda, the mouth of the Miño River, the Atlantic coastline and Portugal in the distance. The mountain is also home to the remarkable Castro de Santa Trega, an ancient hillfort settlement that preserves centuries of Galician history.

We then descend towards the town of A Guarda, first viewing it from the historic Santa Cruz Castle, before flying over its harbour and waterfront, where the town's long connection with the sea becomes part of the landscape.

The journey ends along the rugged Atlantic coast near A Cetárea Redonda, where granite rocks, small coves and breaking waves create a completely different scenery.

From ancient history high above the coast to the wild Atlantic below — a short aerial journey through one of the most beautiful corners of southern Galicia.
