Achill island, Ireland
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Achill is the largest of the islands of Ireland after the Irish "mainland" itself. It's located off the Corraun Peninsula, which lies on the western coast of the Emerald Isle, in County Mayo. Achill has been inhabited since the fourth or fifth milennium BC, possibly earlier. Covering about 150 square km (a bit under 60 square mi.), the island has a permanent population of a bit under 3k. Since the 1880's, the island is connected to the mainland via the Michael Davitt Bridge, currently in its third rendition.
