AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Contributor Dronescapes by Atellani created this marvelous drone video of a monastery in Piedmont, Italy called the Sacra di San Michele. Settlement in the area dates to the Antiquity, with the present monastery having been built in either the 10th or 11th century AD. Also known as St. Michael's Abbey, this landmark has an important place in 20th century literature: it served as the inspiration for the monastery in Umberto Eco's 1980 novel The Name of the Rose, one of the bestselling works of fiction ever.
