Here's a beautiful bird's eye view of a commune in northeastern Italy, compliments of contributor Energy Butterfly. The name of the town is Alleghe, and it's in the province of Belluno, which is part of the Veneto region. Alleghe sits on a lake of the same name, which was formed only a little over 200 years ago in a giant mountain landslide. The town sits beneath Mt. Civetta, which is a popular climbing spot and has a peak elevation of about 3.2k meters (a bit over 10.5k ft.) above sea level.
