In Porto Quintela, in the Bande Town Hall, just 8 km. From the capital of the municipality, the Roman archaeological complex Aquis Querquennis is located, in the heart of the Baixa Limia – Serra do Xurés natural park, World Biosphere Reserve and transfrontier park.

The interventions carried out to date allow us to differentiate:

The military camp, one of the most important, excavated, in the Iberian Peninsula.

The Viaria mansion, travelers' inn.

The hot springs, located in a place of undoubted beauty that invite you to relax.

The Vía Nova or Vía XVIII, the main Roman road, which linked Braga and Astorga, crosses the place.

A few meters from the site is the Aquae Querquennae-Vía Nova Interpretation Center, a reception and information point about the aforementioned resources. It also houses the Quarquernia museum (the Baixa Limia region) in the oldest period (from Prehistory to the Middle Ages).
