63" of snow fell in 3 days, causing some historic avalanches for Little Cottonwood Canyon. SR-210 was closed from Sunday 4/2 until Friday 4/7. Numerous avalanches buried parts of SR-210, with debris piles up to 20ft deep and more than 600ft wide. Shown here are the Tanners and Maybird slide paths, which covered the road at an unprecedented level. Udot, Alta Ski Area, and Snowbird all worked together in the huge effort to clear the road.
Many thanks to UDOTavy, UDOT Cottonwood Canyons, and the Alta Marshals Office for allowing me to capture this footage.
