Contributor Liwanders brings us this beautiful drone's eye view of Baler, a beach town in the Philippines with a storied place in the world of film. Baler is situated in the Aurora Province of east central Luzon, a 2-3 hour drive from Manila. Famously, baler was the shooting location for one of the great scenes of 20th century film: the "Ride of the Valkyries" helicopter attack sequence in the 1979 epic Apocalypse Now. The movie helped turn Baler from an obscure beach town to the surfing capital of the Philippines.
