The paramos of Cancan, located to the south of the Cajas National Park, are characterized by a geography different from those of its neighboring mountains; upholstered by large plains saturated with wetlands and grasslands that form streams that flow between small morainic hills, all of them tributaries of the Yanuncay River. In these Paramos it seems that the glaciation had another effect, leaving peat bogs instead of glacial valleys in its path, that is why the landscape looks different to the one used to observe in the mountains of the Cajas National Park; in summary big pampadas (plains) and few lagoons. Continuing west, you reach a point where you can see the opening left by the valley of the Chaucha River, with a splendid landscape of the panorama offered by the southwestern mountains of Cajas National Park (Architectos, Tikranaloma, Paredones, and others); we have arrived at Ventana Rumi, where the waters of the Chauchayacu gulch are born. In this place, rocky outcrops of Andesite decorate the Paramo, leaving a set of labyrinths and arches that lend themselves to playful activities. Music: Must Save Jane - A New Life
