Bar is a coastal town and seaport in southern Montenegro. Sitting on the Adriatic Sea, it is the capd a center for tourism. It is approximately 53 km (33 mi) from Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. In 1904, the city was the site of one of the world's first radio transmissions, by the Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi.
