Barril Beach, Algarve - Portugal 🇵🇹

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Some of the best beaches of Portugal's famed Algarve region actually lie not on the mainland but on a series of narrow islands which lie just a short distance offshore. They run parallel to the coastline just east of Faro, the regional capital. One of these is Tavira Island, which is about 11 km (7 mi.) long and just 1 km (less than a mile) wide. In this video by contributor Aerodrone, you'll get a bird's eye view of Barril Beach, which lies on this tiny strip of paradise on the Atlantic Ocean inlet known as the Bay of Cadiz.

The Barril beach (occasionally known as Beach Frame or beach of the Three Brothers ) is one of the beaches of Tavira Island , located west of Santa Luzia , near the small village tourist Pedras d'El Rei , a few kilometers to the southeast of Tavira and to the west of the beach of the Island of Tavira . The landscape is formed by the Serra do Caldeirão in the north and the Cerro de São Miguel in the northwest , besides the marshes , canals andsalt flats of the Ria Formosa , as well as the dune formations of the island of Tavira and the Atlantic Ocean to the south.
