Batutegi Protected Forest is in Tanggamus, Lampung, Indonesia. It has important roles in water management, erosion control, and maintenance of soil fertility. The area covers 58.162 ha, of which 10,085 ha remain natural, with the rest utilised by surrounding communities. It is a vital watershed area in Lampung Province, functioning as a catchment area for irrigation water sources. The forest also a home for tropical wildlife including gibbons, sun bear, golden cat, tiger, etc.
