Bayshore Roundhouse 🚂🛤 Urbex San Francisco
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
See the 105-year-old abandoned Bayshore Train Yard via FPV drone in this amazing bando flight by pilot InspireFPV. Blocked off from many trespassers by barbed wire, the gate is no match for a drone! The facility housed a huge freight yard, shops and store buildings, 25 outbound tracks, 39 inbound tracks, and even a hospital for its 3,000 employees at the height of the rail industry. Abandoned since 1982, many think the area may be preserved and eventually turned into a museum.

Cine-whooping San Francisco's most famous bando with the Shendrones Squirt! . A ghostly remnant of the Southern Pacific Railroad, the Bayshore Roundhouse was constructed in 1910, and was equipped with 25 outbound and 39 inbound tracks, 17 stalls and a 90-foot turntable. Originally designed to stable and service steam powered freight trains, the Roundhouse fell into obsoletion by 1958 due to the rise of diesel engines. These new engines required significantly less maintenance, and allowed for forward and reverse operation, rendering the turntable nearly useless. After it's complete closure in 1982, the main building has sat idly apart from a fire in 2001 that destroyed half of it's roofing. . . .
