Bird Island

So driving on the 181 heading in Corpus Christi is this small island surrounded by a man made protective barrier. This island host an array of amazing colonial water birds. From my favorites Pelicans and Roseate Spoon Billed to Egrets, Ibis, the Great Grey Heron, Seagulls and other smaller birds. All cohabitating and procreating. I decided to drone the island and catch a glimpse of the area. Unbeknownst to me, I noticed all these amazing birds there and that likely would be a sensitive wildlife area. So I flew back to the west side and stayed a reasonable distance from the island and test the zoom feature of the Mavic 3 Cine. Up to 7x looks pretty good but outside of that just got too grainy for me. So I stayed my safe distance and kept it zoomed in on the birds. Then I saw the baby Herons. Drones have endless potential and safely observing wildlife is huge. I call this little sliver of nature delight Bird Island but it is known as the Neuces Bay Rookery Island.
