Bombay Beach a Tarot Ironman 650 & DAYA 550 Multirotor Quickie @ the Salton Sea

Bombay Beach on the Salton Sea in Southern California. What a history this place has. With very little time to fly and no time to explore, I was able to get a bit of footage from the small area I worked in. I hope you enjoy. Bombay Beach is on what is known as the Salton Sea... in the desert. An engineering mishap in 1905 created this from a canal that diverted water from the Colorado River to the agricultural area of the Imperial Valley. This Sea is −234 ft (−71.3 m) below sea level and some 150 miles (256 Km) inland from the Pacific Ocean. The aerial footage that looked like "beach" sand below was once the living sea floor. Every footstep makes a crunchy sound from the remains of thousands tilapia and other marine life as the Sea is literally drying up. This area also sits on top of the famous/infamous San Andrea Fault. Which as recent as 27/9/2016 recorded Earth Quake Swarms. I pause, yes that is exactly how it sounds. The Salton Sea; once a thriving resort in the 50's and 60's. It drew the likes of Frank Sinatra, Guy Lombardo, Jerry Lewis and many others. I'd like to return (maybe) on my time and pick up what every visitor must have.
