Bâlea Lac - Transfăgărășan

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : AirVuz contributor and pilot Ton18Drone brings us this fantastic drone video from the Carpathian Mountains in the Transylvania region of Romania. The video was shot over and around Bâlea Lake in the Făgăraș Mountains, a subchain of the Southern Carpathians. The lake lies in Sibiu County, just to the east of the Transfăgărășan roadway, which runs through the mountains and connects Transylvania with the region of Wallachia to its south. Fed by glaciers, Bâlea sits at an altitude of just over 2k meters above sea level or around 6.7k ft.
