Quilico presents the compilation of aerial footage of a little known sector. It is the Cajuco glacier cirque, a Kichwa composed name from the words Kahas = Cordillera and Uku = inside, below. Cajuco is located in the province of Cañar (Ecuadorian Andes), north of the Cajas National Park, next to the summit that divides the valleys of Yanacocha to the north and Rasullana to the south. This horseshoe-shaped glacier cirque contains inside the Cajuco lagoon, which is surrounded by high rocky cliffs of unique shapes. In the vicinity of Cajuco can be seen several elevations of striking forms among which can be mentioned the Escaleras Peak, Yanacocha Peak, Black Peak, Sigsicaja Peak, Arenillas Peak, and others. The majority of the elevations of the sector surpass the 14,400 FASL and are lookouts and balconies of the Andes. From a good part of its summits you can see the volcanoes like Chimborazo, Altar and even Sangay, whose fumaroles rise in great columns on the horizon. This video shows us footage taken for the first time in the area. There are no words to describe the scenic beauty of this sector. I hope someday it will become a protected area because it is moorland and water spring. Music: Empire Of Angels by Thomas Bergersen. Video: GoPro Hero 5. Origin: 3840x2160p, 30 fps. DJI Phantom 4.
