Take in these excellent aerial view of the Roman Colosseum, compliments of AirVuz contributor Alessio Tricarico.  Still standing after nearly 2,000 years, the Colosseum is the largest amphitheater built during ancient times.  It was completed in 80 AD under the reign of Emperor Titus, having required almost a decade to build.  Used for events ranging from gladiator tournaments to public executions to plays, the venue's capacity ranged between 50k and 80k at different points in time.  It's one of Rome's most popular tourist attractions.
