Grenada: A Caribbean Island

Get a bird's eye view of the Caribbean island of Grenada, compliments of contributoe Don Carlo.  The island is part of the Windward Antilles, the chain of islands which forms the southern half of the Lesser Antilles chain which extends from the Virgin Islands to Trinidad.  An independent nation since 1974, Grenada gained worldwide attention when it was invaded by United States military forces in 1983 following a period of political instability when the country veered towards Communist control.
