Castello Visconteo di Trezzo d'Adda

Here's a bird's eye view of a well known castle town near Milan, Italy.  The town is called Trezzo sull'Adda, and it lies about 30 km (just under 20 mi.) northeast of Milan in the region of Lombardy.  The castle was built by the Visconti family, an important line of nobles in Milan in the Middle Ages.  The town (and castle) sit on a highly strategic position astride the Adda River, a waterway which roughly bisects the line between Milan and Bergramo (another important Lombard city, which lies further to the northeast).
