Castello di Rivalta

Contributor Luca T. created this nice aerial view of Rivalta Castle in northern Italy.  It's located in Piacenza, which is the westernmost province of the Emilia-Romagna region.  The castle is situated in a town of the same name a short distance to the southwest of the provincial capital city, on the banks of the Trebbia River.  The castle dates to the 11th century and was rebuilt as a baronial estate in the 15th century.  The great landmark lies in the foothills of the Apennine Mountains.
