Castle Červený Kameň

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Červený Kameň is a castle in the western part of Slovakia.  Originally constructed in the Gothic style during the 13th century, it lies near the village of Častá in the Bratislava Region, which covers the westernmost portion of this Central European country.  The castle is in the foothills of the Little Carpathian Mountains, a subchain of the greater Carpathian range.  The original structure was built as part of the defensive system of the Kingdom of Hungary to protect itself from further Mongol invasions.
