Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte

Château Smith Haut Lafitte is a 78 hectare wine estate located in Martillac in the Gironde department in France..

The first stone of this superb castle was laid in 1365 by the House of Bosq, who named the vineyard Haut Lafitte. In the 18th century, the Scottish merchant George Smith bought the estate and gave it his name. The property was officially classified as a Grand Cru de Graves in 1953.
