Domme
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Explore a medieval hilltop town in France from above in this excellent drone video by AirVuz contributor DRHON-EL. The town of Domme perches over the Dordogne River, a tributary of the Gironde. A member of the official Most Beautiful Villages of France, the town was founded as a defensive stronghold in the late 13th century by Phillip the Bold, the king of the early French state. It went on to play a key role in the Hundred Years War with England and later in the French Wars of Religion of the 16th century.
