Let's be honest- racing giant drones are cool... seeing them crash? MUCH COOLER.
Taking out my giant ship that I affectionately call the "Mega Whoop" for a test flight with some friends in an undisclosed warehouse in San Francisco. What happened was slightly terrifying- and thankfully not even a broken prop!
Motor directions have been double checked, flight controller is oriented right. Props on the right way haha. Hand testing without props the machine behaves as expected. My hunch before flying it was that it may crash on take-off due to bad PID's. Blackbox data wasn't much help and shows everything working pretty much as it should.
Thanks to the primary sponsors of this machine #BeeRotor & #RCTimer for being awesome- not only for believing in my 3D passion but for seeing my vision of a world with massive racing drones :D Shoutout to #Tattu for powering this big ship! and much love to #AirVuz for being behind me while I do it all :D Shoutout to #TeamBlackSheep for the VTX, and #RunCam for the Camera!
And big thank you to all my local friends! Seeing ya'll yesterday was the emotional pick-me-up I needed after an incredibly rough week :)
