Curon Venosta - Lago Resia, Italy

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Check out this drone video of a famous partially submerged church in northern Italy, compliments of contributor Kpax. In 1950, the mountain town of Curon Venosta in South Tyrol was sacrificed to make way for a hydroelectric project in the area which required two nearby lakes to be merged and enlarged as the reservoir.  While the residents were relocated to a new town at a higher altitude, the only remaining sign of the town is its church, which was only partially submerged in the deluge.
