One of Rome’s most iconic squares, where baroque artistry meets everyday life. Spectacular fountains, historic buildings, and an atmosphere that feels straight out of a movie.

This morning, with the first light gently brushing the ancient stones, I had the privilege of flying over it with my FPV drone.

✈️ Flying here at dawn is pure magic: golden light reflecting off the Fountain of the Four Rivers, long shadows drawing perfect geometries… a visual feast for both the eyes and the lens.

But be warned: navigating an FPV drone in such a detail-rich and obstacle-filled space is a serious challenge.

It demands precision, calm nerves, and a whole lot of practice—long before you even begin planning flights like these.

⚠️ A quick reminder for aspiring pilots:

Flying in urban and historic areas like this requires specific authorizations and utmost caution.

No improvisation!There’s a very useful app called D-Space, which greatly simplifies the process of obtaining flight clearance in Rome.

Use it... it’s a lifesaver… or should I say, a “skysaver”? (Forgive the pun!)
