This video is a test of my DJI Mini 2 to see how well it flies and records when trying to make smooth cinematic-like footage in low light. The Mini 2 is a tiny 249g drone that flies really well and for this video I selected Cinematic flight mode and filmed in 4K 30fps in manual camera mode. It is always easy to fly however in this mode the movement is slow and smooth. The camera performed well while there was good light however as it got darker I increased the ISO and above 800 ISO the video had a lot of noise. I used Davinci Resolve to make this video and I had to turn on noise reduction and tweak the levels to minimize noise and get the best looking footage. Towards the end of this video I zoomed in with the editing software for a closer look at how the image quality dropped as it got darker. Overall it is a very impressive result when you consider that the DJI Mini 2 is DJI's entry level 4K drone. What do you think? I hope you like the test and the beautiful shots of Melbourne as people drive home from work. The flames you see are from a nightly "flame" show from outside Crown Casino on Yarra River. Thanks for watching and stay safe, Brett - Gizmo Drones gizmofun101@gmail.com ps Please note that I stopped flying before dark and I flew mostly above the park and away from people and roads. . I increased the ISO as it got darker. Edited with Davinci Resolve, no LUT and adjusted the white balance, lift, gain. contrast, midtone, shadows, highlights plus turned on noise reduction which was needed for the later shots. I have a RePL drone license and insured.
