Dale is surrounded by fantastic nature, but this place creeps me out! When it was finished in 1913, almost 200 mental patients lived here. The men and women was separated. Both lobotomy and electro shock was methods used. If you worked at Dale, you also had to live here, so a school, a chapel and other buildings followed. Dale was almost a self-sufficient community, and patients had to work on the farm as part of the therapy. At the peak in the early 70s, almost 600 patients lived here. After the close down, the place was converted to a refugee asylum, but today most of the buildings are abandoned.
