Datca Peninsula 2017

The geography of western Turkey is distinguished by a series of peninsulas which jut out westwards into the Aegean Sea. The best known of these is the Çeşme Peninsula, which sits just south of the city of İzmir.  In this video by contributor and pilot tahiragaoglu, you'll get a bird's eye view of the Datça Peninsula, which lies well to the south of its more well known "cousin".  Also called the Reşadiye Peninsula, it extends about 80 km (around 50 mi.) from the "mainland" in the Muğla Province.
