De Swalm
AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
For a first upload to AirVuz, new contributor Dedication Photography brings us this beautiful drone video from the countryside of the southeastern Netherlands. The video was shot over the Schwalm, a stream which originates in Germany and flows on a generally westward course, emptying into the Meuse River in the Dutch province of Limburg just north of the city of Roermond. The peaceful scene here belies Limburg's traumatic past; the southernmost of the 12 Dutch provinces is home to some of the most fought-over lands in European history.

The Swalm is a small river that runs out into the river Maas (Meuse). It originates south of Wegberg in the border region of Germany and the Dutch Central Limburg, then runs through the German municipality of Schwalmtal and flows into the Maas at Swalmen, more precisely between Wieler and Rijkel at the Donderberg. It is 45km in length.
