Contributor srinivas akula created this fascinating drone video of the Dowleswaram Barrage, an irrigation structure on the Godavari River in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.  The original structure was built in 1850 and is credited with having prevented instances of drought-induced famine which were not uncommon in this area of southeastern India.  The structure was completely rebuilt in the early 1970's and is now known as Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage / Godavari Barrage in honor of its original builder.
