Dubai Palm Island 2015

Dubai's Palm Islands project is a tribute to the power of engineering.  The first of these three massive artificial islands, Palm Jumeirah, was built in the early 2000's and sports residential and resort developments.  They are part of Jumeirah, a coastal area of hotels and low rise residential units.  Contributor Danny Batchelor used his DJI Phantom 3 Pro drone to create an amazing aerial view of this civil engineering and architectural wonder, which is built in the shape of a gigantic palm tree.
