A hazy dawn clears at Fair Head, Co. Antrim. 'An bhinn Mhor'; the great cliff. 5 kilometres long and 660 feet high, the dolerite rock forms long columns on the cliff face. Considered one of the biggest expanses of climbable rock in north-west Europe. Iron Age ruins have been found along the top and under the lakes alongside it. Most interestingly the rock formation appears in Ptolemy's second century map of Europe. Overall listed as an area of 'special scientific research'.
