Fore Abbey

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE : Former Drone Video of the Week Finalist Dropnescapes Ireland brings us this excellent drone video of a famous Irish monastery. Fore Abbey is located in County Westmeath, one of the interior counties of the Emerald Isle. The original order dates to the 7th century AD, and was subject to numerous attacks by mauraders (including the Vikings), a dozen of which saw it burned. Most of the buildings in the complex date to the13th century. The abbey and its surroundings are sometimes called the Seven Wonders of Fore by the local population.

Last 5 years I've spent visiting Fore Abbey at least once a week because it's a special place for me and Loki and simply because it's stunning too. When I wasn't enjoying my walk I spent time filming all the special moments this place offered to us. Some foggy sunrises and sunsets along with some showery daylight shots and times when the sun was at it's strongest
