Forte Montecchio Nord

AirVuz contributor davidegalloni brings us this excellent drone video of a World War I era artillery fortress in northern Italy. It's called Fort Montecchio-Lusardi, and it's located in Lecco, one of the provinces of the Lombardy Region. The structure was built between 1911-14, shortly before Italy's entrance to the conflict on the Allied side in 1915. Located to the west of what turned out to be the front, the fortress never saw action during the war. The fort was armed with four (4) 149mm guns of French manufacture.
