AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
See the incredible fall foliage of New England, United States, in this 4K drone video by accomplished pilot and AirVuz contributor PeterBloch. He’s creating a series of videos, all celebrating the world-renowned fall colors in this northeastern region of the United States. In this breathtaking piece, we glide on his Mavic 2 Pro drone near New London, New Hampshire. New London is located near the center of the state and, clearly, is home to some of the most vibrant fall colors around.
This is chapter 5 in my series of videos about Autumn 2019.... with more to come! I now think of these seasonal chapters like a serialized novel from the 1800s - all of Charles Dickens' novels were published that way, one chapter at a time. When the leaves all fall down, I will make a "Best of Autumn" compilation. This chapter was filmed on cloudy windy day in the forest behind Twin Lake Village in New London, NH. The sugar maples were in full "blaze" with brilliant gold and red hues contrasting with the majestic white pines. Even for those of us who are fortunate to live here, this never ever gets old! It is both real and surreal at the very same time. An interesting technical note. The Mavic 2 Pro drone I got last year has a capability I don't use often enough: I can tilt the camera up 30 degrees. Most drones don't do this very well because the propellors start to show in the image, but the Mavic is configured so that the camera is more forward. It can be very cool to drift through the forest with this upwards view on the back-lit leaves. The music is "Scarlet Sail" by Alex Mason, courtesy of FreeMusicArchive.org.
