Whitey Ford Field. 26th. Avenue & 2nd. Street, Astoria, NY. This field is named after the Hall of Fame pitcher. Edward Charles "Whitey Ford" born October 21, 1928. He played his entire 16 year Major League Baseball career with the New York Yankees. And was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. This field is located in Astoria NY at Hallets Point. It has been hard to get out and fly here in New York City. The past few days we have had some high winds. I got out that day with a couple of guys from NYC5BD. Lawrence Clark of "Novice Quads" and Jamison Jones. We are members of NYC5BDM, a Facebook group for people who fly drones. We are all into all RC. That day was fun.
