As the name suggests, this is a savannah, a vastly different landscape from the rainforests and jungles which cover much of the rest of Venezuela. The savannah includes the Canaima National Park, and extends eastward into the neighboring countries of Brazil and Guyana. La Gran Sabana is part of the second largest National Park in Venezuela, the Canaima National Park.
