Two iconic places in the west of Ireland: The Cliffs of Moher, full of tourists during the day, are arguably one of the most beautiful spots in Ireland: spanning 8 km they range from 120 m height to 214 m. Before we got there for sunset (a bit overcast unfortunately) we visited Bunratty Castle and Folk Park (huge castle, a whole village of restored historic buildings, a manor house and church) and Quin Friary (closed, sitting on a former castle). Next day it's a trip around the Burren, a karst landscape measuring 530 square kilometers. When Cromwell "visited" around 1650, he said: "There isn’t a tree to hang a man, water to drown a man nor soil to bury a man" - fitting if a bit single minded.

In that area sits Leamaneh Castle, a 15th century castle converted to a manor house around 1650, Poulnabrone Megalithic Tomb (one of the best - and most visited - in Ireland; "no drones"), cute Newton Castle with a square-based round tower, Gleninagh Castle from around 1500 right on the coast and Ballinalacken Castle from the same time, sitting an a hill with a view of the coast. In the evening we get another shot at the cliffs - overcast again.

Drones: DJI Mini 3 Pro, iFlight Nazgul Evoque (GoPro 10 and O3), Flywoo Explorer LR 4 O3, additional footage by DJI Osmo Pocket.
