Lac Assal - Djibouti - The Salty Lake!

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Lake Assal is one of the natural wonders of Africa.  It's a saline lake in Djibouti, one of the countries on the "horn" of East Africa.  Seen in this drone video by Papa Drone, the lake is situated at the northern end of the Great Rift Valley.  Assal lies about 150 meters (around 500 ft.) below sea level, the lowest point in Africa and the lowest in the world outside of Israel.  Covering a surface area of about 54 square km (around 20 square mi.) and with salinity levels roughly 10x that of the ocean, it's one of the world's largest salt reserves.
