Le château et domaine de Versailles

AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :

Check out these amazing aerial views of France's Palace of Versailles, compliments of contributor Lumy.  It's located roughly 30 km from central Paris, in the Yvelines Department of Northern France.  Converted from a hunting lodge to a royal castle by King Louis XIV in the 17th century, Versailles was the principal residence of the French Royal Family for roughly a hundred years leading up to the French Revolution.  A UNESCO World Heritage site, the great palace is the second-most visited site in Greater Paris after the Louvre Museum.
