Queens View Pitlochry is one of the most photographed views in Scotland. Considered by many as Scotland's finest view. Located in the Tay Forest Park, where the landscape changes with the seasons. A spot that is lovely no matter the time of year, a photographers dream! The view looks over Loch Tummel, to Schiehallion 'the fairy mountain' . In the distance are the mountains of Glen Coe on Scotland's west coast. Wheel Chair and push Chair friendly? A short path takes visitors to the view point. There is a special path that is also suitable for wheel chairs users. Queen Victoria made a famous entry in her diaries in 1866 presuming that the Queen's View had been named after her but it was originally named after Queen Isabel, wife of Robert the Bruce in the 14th century. Forest walks nearby, in the Allean Forest just west of Queen's View. There are sign posted walks and off-road cycle routes for those who want explore the nearby forest. An 18th century farmstead (or Clachan) and a ring fort is nearby too.
