AIRVŪZ STAFF NOTE :
Have you ever wondered what it looks like backstage at a theater? Talented and successful micro drone pilot WhoFPV is taking us behind the curtain then out into the auditorium of the Mark Taper Forum. The 739-seat thrust stage is located in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1967 as part of the Los Angeles Music Center. A $30 million renovation in 2007 helped turn it into the beautiful space, behind and in front of the curtain, you see in this cinewhoop video.
Description: This is by far the most beautiful space I’ve captured with my HD flying machines. This particular take highlights the usefulness of using FPV to capture a story. Although 90% of this flight could be captured handheld it’s the 10% of FPV that really helped emphasize the one take aspect. Where as a crew would need hours to set up jibs and wire cams we captured this take in minutes. It’s the value of incorporating FPV over traditional capture methods. Hope you enjoy the pace as I didn’t speed up or slow down any footage to emphasize the reveal of the theatre.
