MultiGP Nationals + More!

I am so honored to be able to attend MultiGP Nationals 2017 in Reno, Nevada at the Reno Air Races! I had a indescribably amazing time meeting all my Facebook friends and fellow racers that I strongly look up to. I got to meet people that I talked to quite a bit online as well as make some new friends. On top of that I got to watch planes go 500-600mph just a couple hundred yards away at as low as 50 feet altitude! This was incredible. My performance was pretty bad. As you can see in the video, there is a mid-air collision right off the start. That was my first qualifying round. I either was a split second late or the other person jumped the gun, but nonetheless, I got off the start and went full throttle for the first gate to get a lead and ended up ramming into the butt of the person in front of me. Flipped upside down and was out for that heat (PS USE TURTLE MODE!!!). This put me in the worst mental state possible and with all the nerves I crashed out in my second round as well which left me with no possible way to advance into the fast 56 from the serious 60 group that I was seeded in. This was an incredible experience that allowed me to learn lots about myself and while under maximum pressure. Not sure where else I will ever be under so much pressure with so much nerves! To end the trip, we stopped on our way home in a few different locations I found on google maps to try and get some solid freestyle in and ended up in Woodward Tahoe, AKA Boreal. I got some of the coolest footage I have ever gotten flying up to the peak of the mountain and surfing back down it.
